Kforce Application Support Contractors in Miami, Florida

Kforce has a client that is seeking an Application Support Contractor in Miami, Florida (FL). Summary of Position Requirements: The Technical Application Support Analyst is to have a basic understanding of Application Support needs including but not limited to: database structure, server architecture, network infrastructure, active directory security and application support for the Business Associates. This position will provide technical support for a variety of Business Applications. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify and resolve issues within the various applications supported

  • Assist in testing and upgrading existing applications

  • Assist in implementing new phases of existing applications

  • Develop and deliver progress reports and application documentation, as needed

  • Develop best practices and tools for application execution and support

  • Other duties will vary as job responsibilities evolve

  • University degree, College diploma or equivalent

  • 1 - 3 years direct work experience in Application Support

  • Technically competent with various software programs

  • Basic knowledge required of SQL Server and how applications interact with databases

  • Basic knowledge required of Windows 2008 and 2012 server interaction with applications - including Web applications

  • Basic knowledge required of Network infrastructure, Active Directory and Application servers and structure interact within a large network

  • Ability to understand VBScripts, batch files and SQL programming

  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential

  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities

  • Reacts to adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently

  • Flexible during times of change

  • Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating

  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Adept at conducting research into various application-related issues

  • Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies

  • Customer service skills an asset

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial
