Postdoctoral Fellow--Chemical Separation Technology Dev & Testing
SRI’s Separation Group is looking for a new Postdoctoral Fellow with a strong background in technology development in CO2 capture using solvents and water purification using membranes. In this role you will have the opportunity to focus on advanced research & development of a new class of polymer-based hollow fiber membranes for industrial gas separation, wastewater treatment and membrane desalination applications. Additional opportunities include development and testing of novel class of solvents for CO2 capture for power plant applications.
During this program, the successful postdoctoral fellow will have the challenge of applying novel techniques to develop polymer based hollow fiber membranes, membrane characterization, solvents for CO2 capture and performance testing in laboratory and field settings. In this role you will also have unique opportunity to be involved with, and contribute to, multiple projects in various domains and interact with other renowned subject matter experts & collaborators in the industry.

--Recent Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science and Engineering, Materials Engineering, Materials Science, Separation Chemistry, or related technical field completed within the last five years or soon to be completed.
--Thesis work with emphasis in CO2 capture using solvents and or membrane is a plus.
