Facebook Manager, Software Engineering - Commerce Platform in Menlo Park, California

Summary:

Facebook’s Commerce Platform team is responsible for building the Commerce systems for all Facebook and Oculus hardware. On this team, you will apply industry standard Commerce practices with a Facebook twist. As an Engineering Manager on this team, you will drive the product vision, enable a high performing team, and drive a long term roadmap that maximizes impact for Facebook’s AR/VR division.

Required Skills:

  1. Be an effective people manager and demonstrate highly-technical hands-on software engineering capability.

  2. Recruit, inspire, and develop team members.

  3. Work with Business Partners, Product Management, Product Design and Business Intelligence teams to define key future state capabilities for our e-commerce, B2B and omni-channel order fulfillment platform.

  4. Lead the ideation, technical development, and launch of key capabilities. Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of these products.

  5. Build and lead a team of engineers to ship high quality products that realize measurable business outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 5+ years of software engineering work experience, including hands-on technical management.

  2. Experience with designing, building, and evolving scalable software platforms applications and taking products from a nascent state to a level of maturity.

  3. Experience recruiting and managing technical teams, including performance management.

  4. BA/BS in Computer Science (In lieu of degree, 4+ years work experience).
