This position has responsibility for Planning & Materials Management within the Mebane Facility in support of Healthcare, Tobacco, Personal Care & Food / Beverage SBUs. The position is directly responsible for managing long term capacity modeling in support of the Sales & Operations Planning Process for the Mebane Facility, Day to Day management of the Planning Functions within the Facility and Key Performance Metric Analysis & Reporting. Management of the Planning function includes: cost & production estimation, plant scheduling for Mebane facility, production planning for internal and external supply of products & raw materials for orders processed through the Mebane Facility, and master data management. This position serves as a member of the Plant Leadership Team and participates in business strategy and plan development as well as day-to-day operational activities.
vSupply / Capacity Model Accuracy (Inputs / Outputs based on fact, evaluated for accuracy)
vHigh levels of customer satisfaction are achieved as measured through Service Level Agreements and On-time Delivery
vManage all inventories (finished goods, WIP, Board, raw materials) to optimize profitability and reduce working capital requirements.
Manage internal processes to meet service level agreements related to estimation turn time, communication of product promise dates and job bag accuracy. Effective engagement models exist between Order Fulfillment, Commercial and Manufacturing.
vAccurate compliance to all internal sourcing and purchasing guidelines.
vAccuracy of cost and production estimates.
vExpert knowledge MRP system(s)
oUnderstands the impact of transactions on all functional groups in an MRP environment.
oIs APICS certified and/or understands the APICS principles
oCollege degree is required, a technical degree ie. Management, engineering etc is desired.
vAPICS certification or equivalent experience.
vMinimum 5 years industry experience including knowledge of manufacturing logistics, printing or pre-press operations, and facility scheduling including MRP based activities.
v1-2 years purchasing/negotiation experience desired
vMicrosoft Office Proficiency (Including Excel, Powerpoint, Visio, Word) Required.
vGood written, communication, and speaking skills.
vExcellent problem solving skills and a demonstrated propensity toward teamwork.
