TheBusiness Transformation Program Office will lead this program to integratepeople, process, and technology capabilities to deliver expected outcomes toMITRE and our sponsors.

This opportunity seeks an experienced ReportingSpecialist Lead who will Partner with Business and Technology stakeholders toensure vital reporting requirements are met. As the lead for the BusinessTransformation Reporting team, you act as the visualization expert indeveloping management reports and dashboards. These products will be leveraged by business leaders to gain criticalinsights of operational health and identify improvement opportunities. You willwork in a matrixed team to evolve the existing landscape of reporting throughcross-functional partnership and stakeholder collaboration. With this diverserole, areas of focus will range from (1) driving best in class developmentvisualizations (Tableau, Cognos, etc) across business operations (2) drivingoptimal reporting performance and usability (3) partnering with data governanceto deliver enterprise level reporting (4) and influencing back-end technologydecisions to maximize front-end visualization and data consistency. This rolewill be pivotal in shaping the landscape by which MITRE interacts with andleverages data through self-serve reporting capabilities.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Partner with Business to prioritize technology needs and meet commitments. Manage the timely planning and execution of project tasks and ensure corporate guidelines are properly followed.

  • Drive ongoing productivity improvement and innovation in partnership with stakeholders. Consult with stakeholders to assess and characterize current processes. Anticipate internal/external business issues to align operational priorities and tactics.

  • Recommend, implement and measure the effectiveness of service models, leveraged as solutions to meeting business needs. Service models include managed services, shared services, COE services, infrastructure services.

  • Support a culture of operational and service excellence to drive increased efficiency and effectiveness of responsible service line(s). Implement best practice procedures for the on-going management of reporting technology services.

  • Assess quality of delivery and time commitments. Recommend strategies for improvement, including continuous improvements and leading best practices programs.

  • Identify and resolve issues related to the performance of the services and/or deviations from defined scope of work. Formulate and implement corrective actions.

  • Partnering across the project, manage the creation, revision, and documentation of organizational strategies and policies, including risk-based strategies.

  • Support the Business Transformation project lifecycle thru the pre-planning, execution, stabilization and steady state phases.

  • Work with the data conversion team to ensure availability of data/metrics for relevant report generation

  • Coordinate and administer team assignments, monitor team progress, and maintain schedules.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or other relevant areas

  • Between 7 years professional experience required in a reporting and/or data management role(s)

  • Strong presentation skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and seamlessly collaborate with engineering partners

  • Advanced knowledge of data visualization tools (MicroStrategy, Tableau, etc.)

  • Experience developing reporting for all tiers of a matrixed organization (executive, director and analyst level)

  • Intermediate SQL skills required

  • Experience managing and developing visualization talent

  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence in a cross functional IT role.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and execute competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong critical thinking / problem solving skills

  • Proficient in ERP-sourced data and reporting needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of Accounting, Finance and Human Capital Management is preferred

  • Knowledge of RDBMS (Relational Database Management System), knowledge of writing SQL (Structured Query Language) preferred

  • UI/UX Design background or certification is preferred

  • Experience with big data environments preferred
