Manager, Content Producer
Our Content Marketing team is looking for an experienced Producer and leader with a passion for creating engaging experiences. The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver who can oversee production of custom content optimized for distribution across multiple channels. This includes everything from social video posts, motion graphics animation and long form video to still photography, editorial content and interactive formats. The right candidate is always up for learning new things and excels at figuring out a solution to the seemingly impossible request.
This role will be integral to establishing our content production factory to enable personalized consumer experiences that help grow Capital One’s credit card business. This includes multi-platform and multi-format content, and content that has strategic purpose throughout the consumer lifecycle. In this role you will help reimagine and transform our digital marketing practices to enable great storytelling through engaging content, improve our process for creating assets at the speed our business demands and deliver flawless execution across multiple formats and points of distribution. Manage the content request intake process and help define bid specifications for new projects.
Identify the best possible production partner (internal and external partners) to deliver creative at the highest level of quality within timeline and budget.
Manage the creative production process from start to finish with an eye towards improving our craft and applying learning and insights to improve the finished product.
Coordinate delivery of assets between creative and production teams to ensure the correct brand-compliant imagery and graphics are in use.
Act as gatekeeper of content updates, ensuring all updates are proofread, legal-approved, optimized for search engines, and align with brand identity.
Ensure final produced work is delivered to specifications, archived as appropriate and that final files and component assets are uploaded to our DAM with the proper metadata.
Track usage rights and ensure proper licensing of stock and music.
Review production SOWs/contracts to ensure maximum flexibility in asset usage and route contracts for review through the proper channels. The ideal candidate has excellent negotiation skills and ability to see through the fine print.
Continuously optimize workflow for greater efficiency (cost efficiency and speed to market).
Establish best practices for creating high quality content across every channel and maximizing productions to output for different formats and points of distribution.
Work closely with our dynamic content distribution team to define specifications for upload of assets for dynamic creative.
Inspire the team with best-in-class examples and new formats/emerging channels.
Maintain a list of go-to production partners and freelancers who understand the brand and our production model.
Bachelor’s Degree or Military Experience
At least 8 years’ experience in integrated video content production
At least 8 years’ experience working with interdisciplinary teams including art directors, copywriters, strategists, analysts and product marketers
At least 4 years’ experience in video content production for digital or social distribution
At least 3 years’ experience in financial services marketing or another highly regulated industry
Understanding and experience with dynamic creative production processes and technologies (platforms like Jivox, RevJet, Evergage, flashtalking, etc.)
Experience with Digital Asset Management (DAM) platforms and understanding of taxonomy and workflow for organizing and categorizing assets.
Deep understanding of the process, equipment, software and skill sets needed to create video (animation/live action), photography, illustration and written content.
Proven experience producing large volume campaigns and organizing a scaled production operation
Understanding of digital and social best practices for effective content
