Trinity Health Clinical Informatics Analyst in Mason City, Iowa

Hourly Pay Range: $31.29 - $46.94

Job Summary:

The Clinical Informatics Analyst provides support to Mercy Medical Center - North Iowa (Mercy) and Network in planning, implementing, and evaluating processes and projects related to professional clinical practice, information management and clinical information systems to achieve clinical care transformation.

Job Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in health related field, informatics, computers, or business required
  • Master's degree preferred
  • If RN or LPN, graduate of an approved nursing program and current licensure in the State of Iowa required
  • Certification in Informatics preferred

Experience:

  • Three to five years of professional experience in health care
  • A minimum of two years of progressive clinical or administrative experiences that demonstrate success in nursing or expanded roles
  • Experience with medical/nursing/health informatics preferred

Special Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent communication skills including public speaking, presentation, and writing skills
  • Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, Power Point, electronic medical record. Ability to establish and maintain working relationships
  • Ability to manage a team and facilitate groups
  • Project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a collaborative, shared leadership environment
  • Able to set and organize own work priorities and adapt to them as they change
  • Ability to work under time pressure, able to be involved in multiple projects simultaneously and succeed under an environment of competing priorities
  • Experience in evaluating research studies
  • Able to collect and analyze data using valid research methods
  • Driver's license required, with acceptable driving record
