UnitedHealth Group Associate Director of Government Network Programs - Telecommute - South East Region in Maitland, Florida

The Associate Director of Government Network Programs is responsible for the successful program design, compliance with network requirements, network assessment and selection, and program/product implementation. Responsibilities include establishing and maintaining strong internal business relationships and managing network projects.

Associate Director of Government Network Programs may perform network analysis and strategy development and implementation; obtain data, verify validity of data, and analyze data as required, and analyze network availability and access. Other responsibilities may also include making recommendations regarding use, expansion, selection of networks for various products based on that analysis.

If you are located in the Eastern or Central time zone, you will have the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Set team direction, resolve problems and own end to end processes

  • Adapt departmental plans and priorities to address business and operational challenges

  • Direct cross-functional and/or cross-segment teams to develop enterprise-wide network strategies focused on government lines of business

  • Oversee network analysis and strategy development and implementation

  • Drive program design and implementation to improve quality and affordability through improvements in appropriateness and effectiveness

  • Ensure teams are obtaining, validating and analyzing data impacting network availability and access

Required Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree

  • 5+ years experience working with a managed care organization or health insurer; or as a consultant in a network/contract management role, such as contracting, provider services, etc.

  • 5+ years experience in data analysis

  • 5+ years experience in project management or project lead experience

  • Advanced level pf proficiency with contract reimbursement methodologies and value based contracting strategies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including ability to communicate effectively with various levels of leadership; ability to speak clearly and concisely, conveying complex or technical information in a manner that others can understand, as well as ability to understand and interpret complex information from others.
