BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) Associate Software Test Technician in Louisville, Colorado
Job Description SummaryThis position requires an individual to participate and drive SW system test initiatives on new and legacy products. Software testing can have a high impact on product development activities and post launch issues if not organized and executed properly. This individual should have experience creating software system test cases and execution of software verification. The position requires an individual to interact regularly with the software development and test teams to ensure alignment and consistency is applied to developing and executing verification activities. Experience in launching medical or pharmaceutical products through the NPD process is helpful in this role but not required.
Create, edit and execute manual test cases
Report bugs and issues with software, requirements and hardware
Create and manage training procedures
Create and manage test case style guide
Creating traceability for created test cases and training others on the process
Review, provide feedback for and assist in creating Design Requirements
Review and provide feedback for manual test cases created by offshore and onshore teams
Review and provide feedback for test methods
Participate in and assist in leading Software dry run testing and Software V&V activity
Participate in the offshore and onsite interview process for new R&D
Train offshore and onsite teams in:
creating manual test cases
bug tracking software
test case/requirement management software
how to use and set up devices under test
expectations for reviewing test cases
expectation for reviewing requirements
Work with other teams to ensure User Needs are understood and are met
Manage all equipment used for Software testing (dry run and verification) and ensure that it is calibrated
Ensure that members of the Software test team have what they need to succeed

Detail oriented and ability to organize large amounts of work and data. This includes the need for good documentation practices.

Proficient in the use of a personal computer with intermediate level of keyboarding skills and proficiency inMicrosoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Access.
Strong listening and assessment skills.
Strong questioning & problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Test Link, Redmine and similar software packages
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- BS degree
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret software requirement specifications. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to communicate well with individuals at all levels within (and outside) the organization.
Ability to perform basic engineering calculations and have understanding of design of experiment. Also requires understanding of statistical concepts.
