Role Summary

This role is responsible for Life Cycle Management programs reporting to the Early Stage Development & Customer Centric Innovation Lead in Hospital Business Unit (HBU.) HBU is an exciting new division formed with Pfizer Biopharmaceutical Group which includes i) legacy Sterile Injectables (SI) business ii) portions of Anti-infectives business and iii) additional legacy Pfizer and Hospira hospital brands.

• The business is a $8B+ and one of the key pillars of the BPG growth strategy.

• This role will focus on the part of the HBU strategy which will add Innovation assets to the HBU portfolio. LCM is a key strategic growth pillar for HBU providing opportunity for leadership and development.

The Sr. Manager role will be directly responsible for driving profitable growth in the long term within the Life Cycle Management (LCM) segment. This position will be primarily accountable for identifying and initiating new LCM programs and driving successful execution of LCM product development by collaborating effectively with R&D, PGS, BAI, global, and regional stakeholders. As this role will impact key strategic, new product developments in the next few years, the individual must ensure that project objectives, plans and the subsequent execution requirements are understood and adopted by all regions, and will drive the continuous improvement of the LCM development process. This role is responsible for implementing Lifecycle Management strategies across products, including molecule identification, creating business cases, and serving as the commercial lead for implementing LCM projects. As a leader in this dynamic business, this person will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities at the executive level.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maximizing the value of key product lines by implementing clear long-term LCM strategy for the SI portfolio, including multi-generational product improvement roadmaps for new pipeline and marketed products

  • Serves as the commercial lead for all regions in LCM efforts, and must provide guidance for shaping regional priorities

  • Responsible for identifying and initiating new programs every year, each with incremental annual peak sales of great than $50MM for platform initiatives.

  • Plan strategy for new pipeline and global expansion products with the appropriate global and regional marketing counterparts

  • Responsible for Customer Centric Innovation (CCI) - new idea generation through close connections with healthcare professionals and KOLs.

  • Works closely with sales organizations in the US and ex-US Regions to generate customer inputs for product LCM.

  • Runs analytics and delivers full financial P&Ls for the markets and for funding requests

  • Plans and oversees market research as needed

  • Interacts with and influences a broad range of functions involved with the development and commercialization of SI products, including R&D, clinical, regulatory, quality, operations, global/regional commercial, finance, and legal functions to ensure that product development activities are coordinated and supported

  • Oversees and reports metrics regarding the program valuations, milestones, risks and opportunities

  • Proactively communicates issues and challenges, and works to remove barriers to success

  • Ensures the interests of the sales and marketing organizations are represented in the appropriate corporate and regional initiatives

  • Monitors the market, competitors, and trends in the global sterile injectables space

  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Educational Requirements :

Minimum:

  • Bachelor's in marketing or similar business discipline. MBA strongly preferred.

  • 10+ years of relevant industry experience with product development and/or commercialization including 3 years of lifecycle product management or project management experience in the Pharma or Life Sciences field.

Key capabilities required:

  • Market / P&L experience ideal including launch

  • Strong analytics along with comfort with ambiguity and speed of decision making

  • Strong leadership & influencing skills; matrix management

  • Good understanding of product development (either pharma or device)

  • Entrepreneurial spirit

  • Experience interacting with HCPs and KOLs

  • Change management and strong ability to influence multiple internal stakeholders

  • Strong capabilities to financially model assumptions in designated MS Excel provided by Finance
