As a Mayo Clinic CNS in SWWI you are a member of a team of Clinical Nurse Specialists supporting nursing practice for nurses working in both specialty and general care areas. Mayo Clinic CNSs collaborate with CNSs across a variety of Mayo Clinic locations including Rochester, MN, Phoenix/ Scottsdale, AZ, Jacksonville, FL, and Mayo Clinic Health System in Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin. The CNS works collaboratively to improve the quality of patient care and facilitate favorable outcomes for Patients/Clients, Nurses and Nursing Practice, and the Organization/System. The CNS functions as a leader in the roles of care provider, educator, consultant, and researcher, and is an active participant in the collaborative practice framework.
Graduate of an accredited Baccalaureate Nursing Program. Graduate Degree (Masters) required.
Graduate Degree (Masters or Doctorate) in nursing from a program that prepares CNSs preferred. Five years of successful work experience in nursing with two years in the specialty area preferred. Experience as a CNS preferred. Certification preferred. Maintains required certifications in area(s) of practice. Skills: Manifests the following characteristics: clinical expertise in the specialty, leadership skills, collaboration skills, consultation skills, professional attributes, ethical conduct, and professional citizenship beyond the specialty and in the profession of nursing.
License or certification
Current RN license to practice in Wisconsin. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) competency.

Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $3661.60, based on a full-time position.
