Responsibilities Include:

  • Transcribes gross and microscopic descriptions on surgical pathology cases comprised of moderately difficult medical terminology.

  • Previous Pathology transcription experienced a plus

  • Provides medical transcription for busy level 1 trauma center in an academic setting (30,000 surgicals per year with synoptic reporting.

  • Will assist with Conference and Quality Assurance preparation.

  • Serve as back up for administrative assistants who answer phone and dispatch pathologists for frozen sections.

  • Experience using Dolbey Dictaphone preferred

Requirements

License/Certification/Education:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Ability to type a minimum of 60 correct words per minute

Monday - Friday, 12:30PM to 9:00PM Alternate Saturdays, 8:00am - 12:00pm
