Inventory Coordinator

Kelly Services is looking an experienced Inventory Coordinator in Knoxville, TN at an industry leading Chemical Company. The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for receiving in spare parts, delivering items to locations around the site, and shipping out items for repair or samples to customers. This position is also responsible for interacting with vendors, running SAP inventory reports, tracking PO’s, conducting cycle counts and stocking consumable PPE’s.

Job Title: Inventory Coordinator

Location: Knoxville, TN

Length of Assignment: Long term, indefinite assignment

Shift Hours: Monday-Friday 7am to 3:30pm

Inventory Coordinator Duties :

  • Analyzes, (re-)establish & manages Maintenance Repair Operation (MRO) inventory levels & maintains MRO inventory records

  • Executes Order Recommendation process

  • Handles reservations and backorders for MRO inventory items

  • Sets up new items for inventory

  • Executes MRO inventory replenishments

  • Analyzes surplus/obsolete materials or equipment and initiates investment recovery process

  • Monitors supplier performances regarding timelines and completeness of deliveries

  • Participates in the inventory reconciliation activities (monthly, quarterly, and annually)

  • Generates data and reports for users

  • Performs technical identification of new and/or existing MRO materials

  • Acts as problem solver for technical aspects on MRO materials

  • Participates in standardization of MRO materials

  • Assists in preparation of Fed-Ex, UPS, etc., shipments, returns etc.

  • Maintains supply stock

  • Delivers parts, supplies, materials to user areas, via truck or forklift

  • Provides oversite for vendor maintained PPE supply cabinets

Physical Requirements Include:

  • Able to lift to 50lbs

  • Climb stairs

  • Pass physical exam

  • Wear full face respirator as required

Other requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Solid work history

  • 2+ years of warehouse or manufacturing inventory work experience

  • Chemical experience a plus

  • Basic computer skills

  • Military experience desirable

  • 2+year Forklift experience a plus

  • Valid Driver’s license
