SNAP-ON ENGINEERING SERVICES CO Facility Technician in KENOSHA, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: This position is located onsite at the Corporate Headquarters located in Kenosha, WI. This position is part of a team responsible for providing facility maintenance to the Corporate headquarters campus of Snap-on Incorporated. This position is part of a team that performs maintenance of HVAC systems, minor electrical, carpentry and plumbing repairs and general preventive maintenance. This position also must be available to respond to after hour emergency calls, along with some evening and weekend hours. Responsibilities * Perform base building general maintenance tasks. * Perform preventive maintenance on buildings, equipment, and systems. * Diagnose problems, find solutions and implement measures to prevent reoccurrence. * Understand and be able to appropriately manipulate main utility shut off isolation valves and switches. * Understanding of fire notification systems and detection systems. Can respond to alarm panel during trouble, fire alarms. * Participate in emergency response procedures. * Emphasize the importance of and ensure a safe, healthy, work environment by ensuring compliance with government and company safety and environmental policies. * Operate mobile equipment, such as a forklift, in the performance of maintenance duties. * Read and understand system drawings and equipment manuals. * Recommend and requisition all materials and supplies necessary to perform equipment and building maintenance. * Help oversee the facility\'s waste disposal program * Maintain an organized and clean facility Qualifications * High School diploma or GED required (Facilities Maintenance Certification preferred). * Valid driver\'s license. * 1-2 Years maintenance experience (5+ years preferred). * Knowledge of carpentry. * Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems and schematics. * Possess basic plumbing skills (ie: water heater knowledge, faucets and flush valves). * Possess general computer knowledge including proficiency in email communication and basic software applications * Possess a strong sense of urgency and complete tasks and follow-through to full resolution when responding to issues. * Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions. * Ability to remain calm under pressure and work in stressful situations. * Ability to work as an integral part of a team, fostering teamwork and cultivating relationships, as well as work independently or with minimal supervision. * Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. * May occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. * Must be dependable.
