Citizens Bank Business Systems Analyst in Johnston, Rhode Island
The Business Systems Analyst develops the functional specifications for major systems and applications and/or bundles of smaller systems and applications. Interfaces with BAs to ensure that functional specifications capture business requirements and aids in the translation to technical requirements.Primary responsibilities include:Responsible for review Business Requirements Document and producing a Clarification/GAP document to call out points of clarity, missing requirements or recommended changes based on expertise in the system and understanding of the business need.Responsible for maintaining functional and non-functional specifications in a portfolio of systems/applications designed to meet business requirements throughout project and program lifecycle. Formulates and defines system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirementsIn conjunction with the Business Analyst, solicits and documents the functional specifications to assist the Solution Architect in the design of technical structures based on the existing standards and processes to meet business requirements. Provides integrated systems analysis within their domain and identifies how application/systems interact to support business processesLiaise with the Solution Architects, Application Developers and Testers to ensure they understand the functional requirements of the systemsConfigures system settings and options to ensure business requirements are fulfilledManages project tasks assigned within scope, quality and timeframe allocated with PM supervisionIdentifies and record risks, issues, dependencies and assumptions in accordance with project standards. Agree escalation level with Project Manager, and then manage those assigned through to resolution including updating project risks and issues logs.
Required Skills/Experience:Minimum 2 yrs previous experience as a Business Systems Analyst or in a servicing business unit Basic understanding of project management techniques/methodologiesCompetent use of Microsoft Office applications to include Microsoft Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Word Possible requirement for travel within the USSelf thinker able to work through issues and escalate only when appropriateMust be able to communicate clearly and conciselyMust be able to defend the process, open risks and issuesMust be have experience in a loan servicing system preferably ALSShould have an understanding of derogatory account processing in a loan systemMust have an understanding of the regulatory environment surrounding the servicing of a loanMust have an understanding of processing in a mainframe environment Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials:Bachelors Degree or Equivalent work experienceHours & Work Schedule:Hours per Week: 40Work Schedule: M - F
