Merakey Clinical Specialist (Mental Health/Counseling Experience Required) in Jeannette, Pennsylvania
Merakey is currently seeking a part time ABA Clinical Specialist to join our Emotional Support School in Jeanette, PA . This position will involve group therapy sessions, one-on-one sessions and behavior analysis and emotional support as needed. The Clinical Specialist will work collaboratively with the staff Psychologist, Special Education Teacher, and Behavior Interventionist.
This position will follow a traditional school year schedule (August -- June) with hours of 8 am -- 4 pm.
General responsibilities include:
Provide behavioral support, analysis and intervention to all school staff on behalf of all students and all relevant public school classrooms.
Review and assist with Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) for all students as indicated in Individual Education Plans (IEP) or requested.
Provide FBAs on a consulting basis, as needed, for outside school districts.
Provide consultation and trainings to school districts, as requested.
Review and analyze data collection procedures in the classroom to ensure consistency and quality.
Review of program books to ensure compliance with NHS standards.
Provide appropriate training a needed for NHS School employees relative to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), behaviors, behavioral interventions, clinical protocols and other related areas.
Collaborate with therapists (speech, occupational, physical) as needed, in preparation for appropriate individualized goals for students.
Assist as needed with establishment of appropriate behavior plans for IEPs.
Consult with staff on appropriateness of goal selection and criteria for mastery.
Provide in class support to include, but not be limited to, child specific behavior, reinforcement systems, data collection procedures, classroom-wide behavior management systems, classroom set-up and structure, support with base educational programs such as Discrete Trial Training(DDT), verbal behavior(VB), Floor time, etc. and crisis support.
Provide mentoring of staff to promote skill transfer
Assist with material development as necessary.
Conduct behavioral/skill assessments including reinforcement surveys and preference assessments as necessary.
Assist all school staff in identifying and following best practices and standards in meeting the unique behavioral needs for each student to include reward and consequence systems.
Actively participate in team meetings as needed.
Other duties as assigned to meet programmatic needs.

Masters degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related Human Services field required
3-5 years of experience in the field of education, autism, or human services is required.
2 years of individual and group counseling experience
Clinical license or license-eligible preferred
