This Position is for a Learning and Development Specialist -- Crescent with a bank location in Ridgeland, MS.

Summary: Responsibilities include the development, organization, and implementation of educational classes, both classroom and web based, as well as researching, verifying, and creating educational materials for learning and skills development of the BankPlus workforce, focusing on the creation and deployment of credit, deposit, lending software and bank procedures training programs. 

Duties and Responsibilities include: Responsible for assisting the Education Department and bank in the evaluation of the training needs and special projects, both independently and as part of the Education and Development Team. Research, design, develop, implement, and revise educational material for instructor-led, computer based, and webcast educational programs, and performance improvement programs. Collaborate with bank leaders to develop teaching aids, educational manuals, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works individually and as a part of the Education and Development Team. Organize and conduct educational sessions in all areas of training within the bank by way of all delivery methods. Cross train with other trainers as a back-up, as needed.  Ability to conduct cross functional training to support entire bank training needs. Recommend learning options to the Education Department based on a needs analysis. Identify training needs by evaluating strengths and weaknesses and translating requirements into trainings that will groom employees for the next step of their career path. Develop the production of instructional materials and designs. Direct structured learning experiences and monitor quality results. Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs by way evaluations, feedback, and follow-ups. Interface with HR and Management within the company to ensure proper actions are taken during training. Work with Managers and act as a Performance Interventionist to make recommendations for performance improvement. Maintain a thorough knowledge of Bank products, services, policies, procedures, and appropriate regulatory issues as related to daily job functions including but not limited to: Bank Secrecy Act; Privacy Act; Fair Lending Act; Regulation E, etc. Complete required compliance training and adhere to the Bank's standard of conduct. Maintain a thorough knowledge of BankPlus policies and operations processes. Perform other duties as requested. Participation in the bank's High-Performance Rewards Connections program. Make referrals to the Mortgage Center and Wealth Management.

Requirements and Qualifications include: Bachelor's degree preferred in Education or Finance. Five years of banking experience, branch operations, deposit functions and procedures, Teller and IRA knowledge Or three years of corporate training experience and experience presenting educational material to groups. Experience with e-learning tools, such as Camtasia, Canva, Publisher, etc. Extensive research and reading. Driving and occasional travel, as needed for business purposes. Work outside of regular business hours as deemed necessary. Ability to handle multiple tasks. General computer knowledge, experience with Microsoft Office Suite, to include Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook. Excellent verbal and written communication, and presentation skills. Must pass a background check to include pre-employment substance abuse testing.
