PPD currently has a fantastic opportunity for an experience line manager to join our Study Start-Up group as a Country Manager. PPD Country Managers are primarily responsible for leading and managing SSU staff in France.

Lead and manage start-up staff, including providing mentorship, work direction and coaching of staff through activities such as accompanied field visits, file review checks, RCR Approvals, QC of deliverablesand support in local site.
Interview, recruit and select new staff.
Be POC for information and escalation of issues related to SU activities
Collaborate withContract Managers, Regulatory Specialists and other key SU stakeholders to ensure technicalrisks and issues are properly routed and resolved and to confirm local hires reflect the necessarytechnical skills and experience.
Provide local expertise for the execution of SU activitieswithin France
Oversight and delivery of SUdeliverables for France
Provide input based on expertise/experience to PPD internal customers- e.g. BD, PM, STM prior and/or at study award to develop the site activation strategy
Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences preferred or licensed or certified health care training (e.g.: RN, MT, PA, RPh,).
Significant clinical research experience (comparable to 7 years) including one of or a combination of; clinical management, regulatory, contract management, study management and start-up
Management experience within start-up
Demonstrate leadership of the country team, ensuring PPD core competencies are maintained and enhanced
Demonstrate effective mentoring ability including excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage a cross functional team of professionals who may have expertise in a different areas of clinical research.
Demonstrate ability to evaluate medical research data and demonstrate proficient knowledge of medical terminology.
Effective organizational and negotiation skills.
Good knowledge of English language and grammar.
