Costco Wholesale Corporation is seeking a Systems Architect for its Issaquah, Washington office.

Job Duties: Be responsible for the overall design of a product and the definition of the technical blueprints and designs to fulfill specific requirements. Provide technical expertise in establishing specific coding standards, patterns, and procedures. Support release planning activities. Identify high level requirements to support the definition and refinement of a robust testing strategy. Identify and definite enablers and work items to support the architectural runway of a given product or application. Define the non-functional requirements (e.g., performance, security, resiliency, etc.) which support the development of epics and user stories aligned to a value stream. Identify technical dependencies across several product and application teams to support the implementation of new or enhanced functionality. Define remediation tactics for large and complex defects impacting several features and/or capabilities within a given product or application. Decompose solution blueprints and designs into detailed technical requirements. Provide active support for business-critical outage situations. Telecommuting permitted.

Minimum requirements: Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related field. Plus two year of experience in: Building functional and technical designs for large-scale B2C and B2B eCommerce systems; Developing and maintaining HCL Websphere Commerce products to implement B2C and B2B eCommerce applications; Working with NoSQL and major relational databases such as DB2 or SQL Server; Developing Java Microservices in frameworks such as Spring; and Designing, building, and delivering Java solutions using DevOps and continuous delivery principles.

In lieu of a Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related field, plus two year of experience as described above, employer will accept four years of experience in: Building functional and technical designs for large-scale B2C and B2B eCommerce systems; Developing and maintaining HCL Websphere Commerce products to implement B2C and B2B eCommerce applications; Working with NoSQL and major relational databases such as DB2 or SQL Server; Developing Java Microservices in frameworks such as Spring; and Designing, building, and delivering Java solutions using DevOps and continuous delivery principles.
