Oracle Principal Sales Consultant/Solution Architect/Banking and Financial Services-EASTERN REGION in Irving, Texas

Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.

As a Principal Sales Consultant you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Acts as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions. Develops productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 3 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 7 years business experience with relevant computer applications or database/tools. Ability to implement the most advanced product features. Thorough knowledge of system and application design. In depth knowledge of competitors. Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication. Ability to travel as needed. A/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.

_Role Overview:_

We are lookingfor an individual who has experience with ERP solutions. A background inERP Financials, EPM or Supply Chain, industry experience in Financial Services is required.

As anacknowledged authority within Oracle, a Solution Architect has a breadth ofknowledge and understanding of solutions, industry best practices and broadbusiness processes. Solution Architects collaborate with the multi-pillarsales team to design innovative solutions that have industry-wide impact.

As a SolutionArchitect, you will work with a team of sales representatives focusing ondeveloping account roadmaps, deal strategies, and then help on executingagainst both. This includes driving requirements gathering, helping withqualifying opportunities, assisting with RFP/Proposal efforts, creating winthemes, coordinating pre-sales resources, delivering presentations at variouslevels up to and including the C level, as well as other selling events.

_ Responsibilities:_

  • Work with Oracle s largest Financial Services customers to understand their current business challenges and determine how Oracle Cloud solutions can support their business objectives.

  • Creation of sales cycle strategies in order to win business.

  • Support sales representatives with prospect/customer qualification, discovery, solution design, RFP response, solution preparation/demonstration and overall sales cycle management.

  • Lead teams of Solution Engineers during the sales cycle. Coordinate staffing, deal onboarding, preparation, unified messaging/win themes, dry runs and successful presentations.

  • Deliver executive-level presentations and product demonstrations as appropriate.

  • Lead development of Cloud Roadmaps.

  • Conduct Health Check engagements as appropriate.

  • Transition sales activities to post-sales teams. Provide after-the-sale support as required to ensure customer success and referencability.

  • Work with Systems Integrators and other external parties to educate/advocate Oracle Cloud applications.

  • Conduct other business development activities as appropriate.

_Job Requirements:_

  • 10 years experience with business applications preferred including ERP, Corporate Performance Mgmt (EPM) and/or Supply Chain. Knowledge of Oracle on-premise and cloud applications are a plus.

  • 5 years experience in presales and/or solution architecture.

  • FinancialServices Industry experience

  • Experience working with Fortune 500 Financial Services accounts is a plus.

  • Understanding of the business application software market and knowledge of Oracle competitors.

  • Travel as needed, up to 50%.

  • BS business/IT degree or equivalent, advanced degree desirable.
