Please be aware this position is remote, and can be based virtually anywhere in the state of Indiana.
This position is for an Experienced Supply Chain professional, who monitors supplier performance, conducts on site assessments, and engages suppliers in issue resolution. Utilizes Supplier Development Playbook and monitors and analyzes key performance indicators to drive improvement in collaboration with suppliers.
Specific responsibilities of this role include:
Conducts onsite assessments with the buyers, quality, and engineering teams to drive supplier improvement.
Utilizes Supplier Development Playbook to improve supplier performance to Supplier Gold standards.
Collaborates with suppliers to identify and remove barriers to the implementation of CI to improve on-time delivery and quality.
Monitors supplier performance and applies sustainable countermeasures and actions in order to facilitate improvement.
Conducts and participates in production readiness assessments for New Product Introduction and rate increases, including capacity confirmation to ensure a timely ramp-up to production volumes.
Supports supply chain initiatives by monitoring key performance indicators, analyzing cost-to-serve performance data, and coordinating cross-functional work team.
Engages key suppliers to initiate appropriate improvement programs to achieve and sustain high levels of performance.
Plans, organizes, directs and reports all activities and matters relating to supplier performance.
Evaluates supplier performance, management, capacity and production readiness.
Assesses supplier qualifications including training and certifications.
Elaborates supplier development plans and works in collaboration with the supplier to ensure best performance is achieved.
Candidates for this role should possess a Bachelor’s degree and five years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced degree and three years of prior relevant experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Engineering/Supply Chain/Manufacturing or related area with a continued proven track record of performance achievement, and growth with increased level of responsibility in an operations environment
Experience in working with suppliers
Experience developing suppliers and supplier relationships
Knowledge of supply chain management in the Aerospace organization
Ability to lead in a collaborative team environment
Shop floor/operations knowledge for 3+ years
LEAN/Continuous improvement experience for 1-3 years
