Description

Reporting to Nike Sales Director EAST Distributors and is responsible of Nike Women (NW) in more than 60 countries in Middle East, Africa (excl. South Africa), Central and Eastern Europe and CIS, delivering through designated Nike distributors.

The nature of the work is focused on creating and servicing product demand. You would be responsible for achieving assigned sales quota by bringing in new and maintaining existing business, as well as supporting the sell-in of distributors to a defined set of accounts across countries. You contribute to the development of the category sales strategies at the distributor/account level, to maximize profitability for the company and distributor. Drive marketplace management for NW. Responsible for maximizing category business and driving the distributors’ teams to hit the seasonal revenue targets.

Core Responsibilities

  • Key component of the role is to translate the global category vision into marketplace relevant actions that are in line with the overall global focus for the categories in question. Act as category lead to ensure that NW is set up for success across all functions.

  • Accountable for the performance and results of distributors’ teams within own discipline or department; identifying and resolving technical, operational and organizational problems; applying his/her expertise to set directions. Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges; and makes decisions guided by policies and business plan that impact the level of service and the department’s ability to meet performance objectives.

  • Lead the distributors’ teams in development of the NW seasonal concept, story and innovation plan. Assure the seasonal plan is fully integrated across business units and functions.

  • Accountable to establish and maintain timely, consistent and positive external and internal relationships. Provide exceptional customer service by developing and maintaining strong relationships with Distributors’ personnel. Establish effective communication x-functionally within Nike EAST Distributors’ Team. Maintain active and positive communication channels between Nike EAST Distributors’ Team and Distributors’ Teams. Keep manager informed of opportunities, problems, progress, and support needed. Share expertise and best practice information with the sales team.

  • Demonstrates link between daily work and company mission and strategies; participates in initiatives, programs or products with moderate visibility.

  • Support key processes such as QBR, AOP, CSR, LRSF, Hind sighting/Fore sighting. Provides category/consumer insights and category forecasts.

  • Working on marketplace relevant allocations of NW to maintain and create a pull marketplace in each Distributor Territory.

  • Deliver CGP leadership for NW through preparation, planning and delivery of clear and persuasive category presentations that prepares the Distributors’ teams to sell and facilitates "end in mind" execution.

  • Driving key processes for NW such as OBR and Allocation Planning.

Qualifications

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in relevant topic

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience in Sales, Account Executive or Key Account Manager

  • Must understand the competitive market, customers and retail trends

  • Strong understanding of retail math, seasonal assortment planning, business planning, retailer relationships and the leadership product process

  • Understanding of relevant product line and consumer behavior

  • Experience and track record of success leading teams working on elevating categories and/or brand initiatives. Proven track record increasing revenue by creating and driving a holistic business plans inclusive of short and long term business strategies and financial targets

  • Exceptionally strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives

  • Able to influence both cross functionally and vertically within the industry and marketplace

  • Nice to have: direct experience with the product
