Warehouse Specialist

Swing Shift

Wages start at $17.00 per hour.

Davis Tool, Inc., a long established Hillsboro manufacturer, has immediate full-time openings for Experienced Warehouse Specialists on our Swing shift. Successful candidates will learn the skills needed to move into a variety of career paths at Davis Tool within our Supply Chain Management, Scheduling, and Manufacturing Departments.

Hours are Monday – Friday, 3:15 PM to 11:45 PM. There is a $0.75 per hour pay differential for those working 2nd shift.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accurately count and pack parts for shipping or storage.

  • Supporting inventory audits by locating and counting parts in our warehouse.

  • Measuring performance against time standards.

  • Receive incoming materials

  • Verifying parts match documentation.

  • Moving materials using forklifts and pallet jacks.

  • Timely communication with leaders and peers across departments about problems and possible solutions.

  • Make correct decisions based on generated reports

  • Communicate and recommend process and documentation improvements

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience or have taught or trained others.

  • Two or more years experience in shipping, receiving, and kitting functions in a warehouse setting.

  • Bend, stoop, push, pull, twist, turn, and stand for an entire shift.

  • Routinely handle objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

  • Demonstrated ability to follow Fedex and UPS procedures

  • Good attention to detail, written communication, and verbal communication skills.

  • Good computer skills, mechanical skills, and organizational skills.

  • A valid Oregon driver’s license.

  • Be accountable, accurate, and comfortable working alone

  • Working knowledge of Cosmetic Specifications

  • Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing and APICS principles

  • Obtain Davis Tool forklift certification
