Payroll Processor -

Job duties


  • Process payroll for more than 1500 employees nation-wide, including auditing and updating time sheets, processing garnishments, and benefit deductions, etc.\t

  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll input, output, and delivery\t

  • Answer employee questions about human resources/payroll policies and procedures\t

  • Support HR activities and programs; such as compensation, benefits, training and safety\t

  • Ensure organizational compliance with federal and local regulations, audits, and non-discrimination laws\t

  • Participate in developing new policies, procedures and programs related to payroll and/or human resources\t

  • Coordinate and implement projects; including communications

Essential skills


  • 1-2 years’ experience in payroll, human resources, accounting or other related fields with a medium to large size organization (1000 or more employees) required \t

  • General administrative support experience with an understanding of basic payroll concepts including, but not limited to: time sheet tracking, accruals, tax set-up and garnishments\t

  • Experience in any one of the following: benefits design, administration of health & welfare and retirement programs preferred\t

  • Basic understanding of employment laws affecting payroll including multi-state minimum wage, overtime and double-time\t

  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve or troubleshoot software and/or calculation variances\t

  • Background in developing and implementing new policies, procedures and programs\t

  • Experience using Ultipro or other Payroll/HRIS software preferred\t

  • Ability to develop and coordinate projects and timelines
