Job Summary The Systems Analyst is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organizations enterprise Electronic Medical Record system. The focus areas for this role are CPOE, Closed-Loop Medication, Patient Lists, Orders/Results Viewing, and Clinical Documentation. Desired candidates will have experience with Epic and possess other clinical experience relevant to maintaining an electronic medical record. Qualifications 1.Ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience in the implementation and support of EMR systems, including project management and SDLC, with emphasis on complex testing and issues management. 2.Ideal candidate has minimum 2+ years of experience working with a project or functional team responsible for the implementation and support of healthcare systems. 3.Candidate possesses functional knowledge and technology of clinical or business processes and systems in a hospital setting. 4.Candidate must have experience in the implementation of EMR solutions working directly with clinical department resources at all levels. 5.Candidate must have strong project management and organizational skills 6.Candidate must have strong analytical, problem solving, and prioritization skills 7.Candidate must have excellent communication and follow-up skills (both written and verbal communications) and help facilitate teamwork. 8.Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent work experience accepted 9.Clinical background and experience desirable 10.Epic Clinical Documentation, Orders or Ambulatory certification a plus 11.Other Epic certifications or non-Epic EMR knowledge a plus
Acts as an analyst and resource for the Epic EMR, providing subject matter expertise as well as guidance and support to end users, including physicians, hospital staff and fellow analysts.
Participates in the completion of project and support tasks as a member of a project team as assigned by IT Management and demonstrates ability to participate in multiple projects and assignments concurrently. Manages small and medium scale projects with assistance.
Serves as a resource for the system implementation and support of Epic EMR for their area of training.
Communicates with management regarding resource needs, work methods, performance standards and presents issues and recommends solutions.
Participates in staff development via training and mentoring.
Candidate will be required to attend Epic Certification classes and pass Epic certification process
Develops and maintains all project documentation being: project work plan, issue log, current and future state design documents, test scripts and testing results
Maintains on-going system support which includes upgrades and implementing additional functionality of the Epic System
Perform in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with the software
Provides production on-call support
