Candidates for this Sr. Sales Support Coordinator role will need to manage matrix-heavy processes to create new business quote proposals in direct support of Sales Representatives and Sales Executives in the Group Retiree benefits space. Candidates will act as internal liaisons, navigating benefit design and underwriting processed for timely/ accurate quote proposal creation, for standard and custom Medicare Advantage, Supplemental and Prescription Drug plans, which are bound by CMS regulations. It will be critical for success to build relationships with functional sales cohorts and cross-functional colleagues to inspire team cohesion and superior product delivery (pivotal to these relationships is communication, clarity and benefit comprehension). This role will serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day sales opportunity status monitoring and ensuring sales systems reflect accurately. Jobs in this function may work closely with sales on new, renewal or upselling, but do not have specific sales goal accountability or primary responsibility to close sales.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Command a strong working knowledge of CMS and Medicare associated products

  • Listen to learn and communicate to impact (in writing and verbally)

  • Manage work volume in a well-organized manner and appropriately prioritize demands

  • Leverage analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills

  • Identify solutions to non-standard requests and problems

  • Conduct moderately complex analyses

  • Provide explanations and information to others on difficult issues

  • Coach, provide feedback, and guide others

  • Quickly build relationships, gain credibility and partner with business leaders

  • Synthesize information from multiple sources in Word, PPT and Excel

  • Generally work is self-directed and not prescribed.

  • Serves as a resource to others.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher

  • 3+ years of experience in the healthcare insurance industry

  • Experience with sales, sales support or marketing support operations

  • Candidates must be able to create, edit, copy, send and save documents, correspondence and spreadsheets in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in Commercial Insurance/ Medicare/Advantage, Supplemental and Prescription Drug plans

  • Experience with Salesforce.com preferred

  • Experience coaching, providing feedback, and guiding others
