Trinity Health Payment Variance Analyst in Hartford, Connecticut
JOB SUMMARY Under the direction of the Manager, Business Office, maintains knowledge of payor specific billing and collection guidelines, researches all variance types (denial, debit or credit), identify variance trends bringing recommendations for modifications to billing and/or elevating process issues , documents and tracks both debit and credit variances with an emphasis on recovery of revenue and accuracy of accounts receivable.
Education: High school or equivalent.
Experience: 3-5 years prior Hospital billing/claims processing experience or Medical Business Office experience preferred. AR analysis and variance experience preferred.
Skills: Ability to speak read and write English. Attention to detail, strong keyboard and calculator skills required. Ability to create and interpret Word and Excel documents. Strong communication and contract interpretation skills with the ability to accept assignments and work independently.
