Trinity Health HIM Instructional Designer in Hartford, Connecticut

JOB SUMMARY The HIM Instructional Designer (HID) is involved with making decisions that affect the project at the application level. HID is responsible for effectively integrating all aspects of the designated application (s) into training materials; including the technical, cultural, process, knowledge, coordination, regulatory and communication components of HIM designated application (s). The HID is responsible for Epic curriculum architecture ? supporting all elements of training planning, design, development and implementation for designated application(s). The HID will assist Training Manager and Training Coordinator with training strategy for designated application(s) participate in the development of training policies and requirements for designated application(s) and train and support a team of supplemental (credentialed) trainers in their designated application(s).

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Required Experience: Baccalaureate Degree in Education Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare or related field and three years experience OR demonstrated current EPIC training certification in one or more EPIC applications and three years? work experience. Preferred Experience: Masters Degree in Education Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare or related field and two years work experience.

Job Knowledge/Experience:

? Basic project management skills (ability to lead meetings, prioritize, resolve conflicts, maintain issues list and manage project plans).

? Detail oriented and able to probe for information.

? Respected within the organization and viewed as a team player

? Demonstrated effective communication, oral and written, with the ability to follow-up and follow through effectively.

? Ability to travel is required.

? Requirement to certify on one or more Epic applications.

? Minimum of two (2) years of experience in areas such as billing, coding or patient access
