IHS Markit Software Ordering Administrator in Gurgaon, India
IHS Markit Asset and Configuration team has two openings for a Software Ordering Administrator, the position provides working with collaborative teams to ensure the software ordering cycle is maintained and delivered in a timely and accurate manner. Software order processing is conducted through; order acknowledgement, validation/integrity check of orders and communication to reseller and vendor engagement. Software needs to be managed correctly to ensure the organization is making the most efficient use of software license/s. Processes need to be established and in place to manage the software from receipt of request, to moment the software is delivered to the end-user.
The role will adhere to the mechanics while ensuring the processes are monitored, identify opportunities for improvements, and works with the Software Asset Management leadership team to implement. The role will also assist in completion of routine & complex work requests associated with the process, as well as the development, implementation, and maintenance of policy, procedures, and performance standards. Participates in most functions of the Information Technology Asset Management Process for software assets which may include but is not limited to ordering, receiving, renewal/maintenance, software assignment, license control, vendor and contract reviews and discussions on all aspects of the software asset management.
Process software orders, through the ServiceNow software ordering process functionality.
Monitor order status, communication with both internal customers and suppliers.
Monitor status and coordinate deliveries of software through various sources.
Collaborate with diverse team across multiple locations, providing oversight and support of all software ordering activities.
Maintain and support all required data in the ServiceNow Software Ordering tool in a timely and accurate fashion.
Tracks and analyze data to assist in monitoring the costs associated with software components.
Functions as a first point of contact regarding inquiries related to software ordering on purchases, maintenance/service schedules/cost, and all other information related to software.
Respond to software requests and incidents made by users from internal ordering process or through Service Desk.
Process software keys/upgrade requests and track software orders to ensure they are deployed correctly.
Identifies and escalates gaps in company and customer ordering information with appropriate level of urgency. Researches shortages and provides accurate details of all shortage issues.
Produce weekly dashboards in ServiceNow on software order request and software usage.
Influences others internally and externally, including senior division executives and vendors/resellers.
Identifies and resolves complex multi-dimensional business problems.
Manages multiple related teams, sets organizational priorities and allocates resources; executes department business plans.
Impacts the business results of a department/district by setting priorities, allocating resources, and developing policies and plans.

Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
Experience with Microsoft Office O365, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
5+ years with ServiceNow Asset/Order Management
Knowledge of report analytics in ServiceNow
Experience in the information technology field.
General understanding of the company’s overall business operations and products.
Demonstrated ability of successfully leading complex IT projects.
Must be able to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel.
