Cone Health Executive Director - Revenue Cycle in Greensboro, North Carolina

LOCATION: CHAPS Building, MCPS-Physent-Enterprise Admin


Exempt: Yes | FTE: 1.0 (40 hours/week) | Schedule: 8-5 M-F | On Call: NO


The Executive Director Cone Health Medical Group Revenue Cycle (EDCHMGRC) is responsible for managing the overall functions of Cone Health Medical Group (CHMG) revenue cycle. The EDPFRC is to ensure maximization of revenue and cash flow while maintaining the highest levels of patient, physician and employee relations. This includes management oversight of all business related functions from point of entry to accurate adjudication of the patient’s account. Specific areas of responsibility include registration, billing and collections, integrity of patient accounts, accounts receivable management and the integrity and utilization of revenue cycle information system(s) tools. Candidate must have previous experience working with EPIC PB.

The EDCHMGRC will be charged with creating a Centralized Revenue Cycle Office to handle all CHMG’s Patient Accounting operations. This will include hiring a management team and staff. The anticipated date of creating the Centralized Professional Patient Accounting Office will be in FY 2020. Until then EDCHMGRC will be responsible for reviewing the performance of the outsourcing firm which is handling the billing, cash posting and follow-up.


Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or Health Care, required

Master’s Degree in Accounting, Business or Health Care, preferred


7 to 10 years’ experience in Professional Fee Revenue Cycle with at least 5 years’ experience in a relevant leadership role in a large medical practice associated with a healthcare system, required.

Must be certified in EPIC PB and have at least 5 years of EPIC PB experience.


Valid Driver's License, required.


Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
