Microsoft Corporation Regional Fleet Programs and Operations Manager- External Staff in Bratislava,

This position is a contingent staff role and employed by an external agency in service for Microsoft.

MS Procurement is a team of procurement professionals who cover mainly Microsoft`s indirect procurement spend and own the strategic accountability for the MS Fleet Program. This Program/Operations Manager position reports into the SMCC (Sales/Marketing/Consumer and Country) organization within MS Procurement. The role is responsible for the engagement with and delivery of main strategies in the MS Fleet space. The position manages strategic and administrative tasks to achieve operational excellence and will coordinate a wide range of fleet operations related project management activities. He or she will work with SMCC internal/external country and business leadership functions and be involved in elevating the Fleet program to an innovative mobility concept long term wise.

  • This position has responsibility to engage with MS business stakeholders and supplier representatives to identify and share business opportunities, challenge existing supplier relationships and secure agreement on initiatives. - - Within this position cost savings and a compliance mentality are important however project management, communication skills and ability to influence are equally essential.

  • This position will require frequent engagement and dialog with other members of the MS Procurement team and representatives from peer functions like e.g. HR, Finance, RE&F.

  • The position will closely monitor operational excellence in executing a pre-defined program approach. Beyond that he/she will analyze procurement metrics and ensure that suppliers perform within their set of SLA`s.

  • This position requires project and stakeholder coordination and excellent story telling skills.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with MS Program peers and local Procurement Engagement Managers to develop the annual MS Fleet Program Planning that will include: project specific actions, resource allocation, and procurement engagement actions by specific fiscal year

  • Develop successful working partnerships with Finance/HR and other business group leadership teams to understand their business needs and transform challenges into opportunities

  • Execute MS Fleet Procurement Annual Plans and ensure timely response to day-to-day, ad-hoc procurement activities, expediting the procurement cycle and process.

  • Ensure compliance with MS policies and processes especially for high risk areas

  • Resolve or escalate conflicts in a timely manner with support through the Sr. Program Engagement Managers and the Group Manager function

  • Meet and monitor annual commitments, metrics, productivity, and quality standards of the role

  • Provide guidance on program principles, policies and processes and maintain procurement ethics.

  • Adhere to and execute Corporate programs like Supplier Security & Privacy Assurance Program (SSPA) and other programs

  • Understand administrative/tactical tasks in relationship to new supplier requests, system maintenance to support accurate purchase order placement (supplier classification, category mapping)

Qualifications

  • Advanced experience and skills in managing a procurement related program. In-depth understanding of procurement processes (sourcing, contracting, negotiation, etc.) and already existing Car/Fleet management experience is required.

  • Strong communication skills (orally and writing skills).

  • English Proficient. Working knowledge of one or more languages of countries to be covered a plus.

  • Experienced in working in a multicultural environment and virtual team.

  • Demonstrated team working ability and agility to leverage resources within the organization. Strong cross group collaboration and interpersonal skills are essential

  • Good judgment in resolving issues; proactively seek solutions to upcoming issues and offer insights and ideas for new, more efficient ways to complete tasks; the ability to work independently or with a group to achieve results; prioritize own work and resources; high degree of flexibility, accuracy and attention to detail are required.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to implement and monitor programs/projects and schedules with strong program and operational management skills.

  • Able to simultaneously manage multiple projects, be willing to take ownership of projects and drive them through completion.

  • Strong ethical standards, integrity and accountability attitude with ability to maintain independence, autonomy and confidentiality

  • Formal procurement education or CPM certification (or similar) is a plus.

  • Customer service oriented, including also proved issue resolution and building relationship skills
