The Walt Disney Company PH-Social Media Strategist, Disney Baby in Glendale, California

The Disney Baby Social Media Strategist will be a 6 month Project Hire assignment focused on developing and executing the holistic social strategy. This person will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day agency relationship, consistent analysis/reporting, and providing content deliverables.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop social media strategy, as well as manage content calendars and cadence for leading Disney franchise.

  • Oversee agency in the day-to-day, including all content deliverables and weekly/monthly reporting and analysis.

  • Manage internal tools for tracking and reporting.

  • Work closely with internal partners such as licensing, product development, retail and creative teams to gain alignment on priority product launches and messaging beats.

  • Identify and respond to emerging trends, platform advancements, updates and tools.

  • Develop and implement paid media strategy to positively impact KPIs and enhance account performance.

  • Play key marketing role in ideation and execution as it relates to the social media touchpoint of the brand.

  • Lead strategy and creative to proactively problem solve and prioritize tasks.

Basic Qualifications :

  • Passion for Disney and classic character.

  • Demonstrate passion, energy, and enthusiasm for social-first storytelling that extends across all media.

  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)

  • Keynote deck master builder.

  • Proficient in Google Drive.

  • Previous experience at a baby brand or CPG company preferred.

  • Agency experience preferred.

  • Proven competency across social platforms including Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat.

  • Innately curious, with insight into human behavior, particularly millennial parent needs & trends, and an instinct for popular culture.

  • Thrive working in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to translate traditional content into engaging and brand-relevant conversations.

  • Superior presentation and communication skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.

  • Ability to successfully organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects under strict deadlines.

  • Resourceful, innovative and responsive to change.

  • Highly self-motivated and self-driven with a proven track record.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience developing brand's strategic social presence.

Required Education :

  • BA or BS required, preferably with a background in Communications, Marketing, or Journalism.
