Hartford Headache Center located in East Hartford with a satellite location in Wallingford, has an immediate opening for aPractice Manager reporting to the Director of Specialty Services, the PracticeManager is responsible for directing, supervising and coordinating the overalloperations of the medical practice. Partners with the Director of SpecialtyServices and physician(s) to establish practice goals: financial, quality andpatient satisfaction. Monitors goals regularly to ensure practice isprofitable, efficient and providing quality care. Accountable for goals andobjectives related to population health management. Works collaboratively withother Practice Managers of other Specialty practices to function as one grouppractice. Manage process improvement initiatives. This is a fast pacedenvironment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Establishes work procedures andstandards to improve efficiency and effectiveness in the office

  • Assists Specialty Director andphysician(s) to develop and implement long range plans

  • Manages office operations tomaximize patient access, patient satisfaction, and collection of payments

  • Coordinates staff and providerschedules to ensure proper coverage for quality patient care

  • Manages human resources – hiring,on-boarding, coaching and evaluating. Seeks to create a team environment

  • Reconciles and investigates patientcomplaints

  • Manages, leads, and participates inprocess improvement initiatives

  • Ensures practice compliance withProHealth policies, procedures and programs

  • Actively participates in practice,regional and organizational meetings.

Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in health careadministration, business or related field

  • Practice/Medical Office Management experiencewith direct reports

  • Highly proficient in generalcomputer skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of population healthmanagement desirable

  • Demonstrated business andanalytical/financial skills

  • Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma processimprovement tools and techniques

  • 3+ years of Medical practicemanagement experience

  • Experience with electronic healthrecord, medical terminology, coding and billing

  • Experience with Microsoft Suite
