We are seeking an Administrative Assistant for our Research Models and Services site locatedFrederick, Maryland.
Primary focus will be to provide general office-related administrative support and clerical support to management team and to assist with special projects as needed.
In addition to performing routine administrative tasks, you will also be responsible for serving as back-up to the Distribution Coordinator, responsible for organizing and arranging import and delivery of non-human primates, including extensive interaction with regulatory agencies including CDC, USDA and USFWS, as well as customs brokers, transporters and customers. Perform customer service activities, ensuring efficient domestic and international order coordination and processing.
Minimum qualifications include:
Education: High School or G.E.D. and specialized secretarial training beyond High School. Associate’s degree (A.A. /A.S.) or equivalent from two year college preferred.
Experience: One to two years related experience.
Other: Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task. Good keyboarding skills, proficient in utilizing personal computer, e-mail and standard office software packages (word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, database).
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
