Hours: M-Thurs 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Pay: $14-17 (DOE)

Position Summary:

Responsible for performing routine building maintenance, general cleaning, and sanitation tasks. Perform other tasks as assigned.

Reports to: Engineering and Facilities Manager

Functional Responsibilities:

Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks required to keep facilities equipment operating properly and efficiently (e.g.: air compressors, boiler, waste water treatment system, fire systems, HVAC, pumps, chillers, etc.).

Inspect buildings and other structures to ensure systems are functional and detect any needed repair.

Performs minor painting, carpentry, and masonry work (e.g.: preparing surfaces and using brush, sprayer, or roller to apply paints and varnishes; minor dry wall work; floor tile replacement and repair).

Reconfigure, install, position, and remount modular offices and space (e.g.: furniture, wall panels, work surfaces, storage bins, lighting, file cabinets, etc.) to accommodate user needs and maximize office space using various hand, power, and specialty tools, dollies, and hand trucks.

Order parts and maintain required documents.

Perform general building cleaning and upkeep.

Clean rooms, hallways, corridors, and other work areas using power cleaning equipment.

Perform cleaning sanitation on various production equipment.

Support facility safety related improvements (e.g.: install signage, floor striping, etc.).

Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Must be able to work flexible hours.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.

Must be able to push 100-lbs (power cleaning appliances) and lift 75-lbs. (trash and supplies).

Employee must be able to sit for up to twelve (12) hours in a work day.

Employee must be able to stand or walk for up to twelve (12) hours in a work day.

Able to climb a ladder and step ladder.

Ability to function in highly stressful situations.

Extreme heat or cold (may need to be outside in Wisconsin summers and winters).

Cleaning fluids normally used in custodial duties.

Paints and solvents.
