The Help Desk Support Tech II in this position will be working with Active Directory, VPN, Password Management, etc.


  • Provides support to end users on a variety of issues

  • Responds to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support

  • Activities include recognition, research, isolation, resolution, and follow-up

  • Performs general maintenance tasks and resolves less complex problems immediately, while more complex issues are identified to a higher level of support

  • Documents, tracks and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution

  • May involve use of problem management databases and help desk system

  • Typically reports to a supervisor or manager

  • May lead and direct the work of others


  • 3 to 5 years of experience in the field or related area

  • Knowledge of commonly-used tech support concepts, practices, and procedures

  • Skills must include Active Directory

  • Experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals

  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected

  • May require an Associate's Degree in a related area
