Job Description

Job Purpose: As Employee Relations Specialist at Aspire Health Partners, your job purpose is to facilitate all issues relating to employee relations by ensuring consistency in the interpretation and application of policy and fair & equal treatment of staff.

This career opportunity includes, but is not limited to the following;

  • Works closely with Employee Relations Manager to provide timely responses to Aspire staff, and management regarding employee relations issues and/or incidents; goal: immediate response to critical issues, response within 48 hours to other issues.

  • Facilitates discussions with Aspire staff and management regarding employee relations issues and/or incidents to determine appropriate HR involvement and actions.

  • Provides guidance and instruction to management in regard to the management of their staff and resolving issues; i.e. effective management techniques, policy interpretation and application, how to conduct an objective investigation, progressive corrective actions, developing and maintaining appropriate documentation, etc.

  • Works closely with Employee Relations Manager and Management team to determine whether or not CA’s are warranted, facilitates the review and finalization of all corrective actions prior to presentation to the staff member(s).

  • Facilitates a full review of all pertinent data with Employee Relations Manager for the purpose of determining the potential need for outside legal counsel on all serious infractions and/or terminations of a complex nature, prior to taking action with the management team and/or impacted staff member(s).

  • Ensures all documentations is appropriately composed, compiled and organized for all corrective actions; i.e. coaching/counseling through termination.

  • Facilitates unemployment claim hearings, appeals when necessary to include preparation of termination documentation and responding to inquiries from the 3rdParty Administrator of Unemployment.

  • Tracks & trends all employee relations issues on established spreadsheet for the purposes of; i.e. maintaining a historical record of issues & report of employee relations activities, identify problem patterns, challenges and areas of improvement such as needed policies and/or revisions to policy, employee and/or management education opportunities.

  • Works closely with the Senior HR Director to Co-Chair Rewards & Recognition Committee to include planning, scheduling events, administration of the VIP Program, planning & scheduling of the Milestone Anniversary event along with facilitation of the Staff Satisfaction Survey.

Mostly importantly, all functions must be completed while maintaining high standards of ethical and professional conduct while adhering to all company policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

Position qualifications: Ability to receive and maintain a(n)

  • Level II Background clearance

  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle Registration driver’s license record in accordance with the underwriting guidelines set by Aspire’s insurance company.

  • Bachelor Degree in related field or HR Certification preferred with a minimum of 3 years of diverse, practical work experience in facilitating employee relations (coaching/counseling, termination, litigation prep) required.

Other qualifications: Computer literacy, exceptional organization and communication (oral/written) skills, customer service, and multi-task required.

Experience in Training facilitation desired.
