Northrop Grumman is seeking an administrative intern. This position is Falls Church, VA.The qualified candidate will become part of the Northrop Enterprise Asset Management organization working on the software team.
The selected candidate will work in a dynamic people-focused environment where they will interact with colleagues and partners. As an intern, you'll participate in a summer internship program to develop competencies in a variety of Asset Management specializations that may include:
Roles and Responsibilities
Manages, maintains, and tracks software asset data and maintenance throughout the asset lifecycle. Create, manage, and assess hardware and software asset data within the Asset Management Database
Captures and records software entitlements into the AMDB
Reviews AMDB for optimization of licensing and monitor license compliance
Works with cross functional service lines to meet requirements
Provides data for strategic decisions on software procurement, agreements, and licensing
Assists with testing of installing and uninstalling applications as part of the software packaging process
A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
Currently enrolled full-time and pursuing a degree (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD) from an accredited college/university AND graduating after August 2020
Be majoring in Information Technology/Systems, or a related field
Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of
application by uploading the documents to your application or profile)
Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2020
Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
- Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication
skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular)
Good presentation and writing/communication skills
Self-motivated, willing to learn, and interested in working in a team environment
Knowledge of the Hardware and Software Asset Management Lifecycle
Experience with the following applications including Flexera FlexNet Manager Suite, SAP, Microsoft Word and Microsoft
Excel. Familiarity with the relationship between applications, licenses and purchases.
