St. Joseph Health Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Cardiology Clinic CNMT/CTNM in Eureka, California
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist practice encompasses multi-disciplinary skills. The technologist is responsible for the preparation, calibration, disposal, storage and administration of radiopharmaceuticals and pharmaceuticals under the supervision of the radiologist and/or the (RSO) Radiation Safety Officer. The performances of quality control procedures, appropriate technique for quality diagnostic imaging and computer implementation are essential functions of the position. The Nuclear Medicine technologist shall work effectively with patients and support clinic personnel by helping all other areas of the Radiology Department as needed.
• Education: Bachelors Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience to achieve State Licensure (CTNM)
• Experience : Minimum two years
• Training: Prefer 2 year Spect Imaging experience
• License / Certification : Must possess State Licensure (CTNM, CNMT)
Current CPR/BLS licensure, AHA
Documentation of current CEU’s

Radiologists and radiology technicians shall have access to the entire medical record as necessary to verify the radiological procedures to be performed, identify potential drug interactions and provide ordered radiology services. Radiology support staff shall have access only to limited PHI (i.e. patient’s name, radiology procedure information, etc.) as necessary to perform delegated duties. Transcriptionists shall only have access to health information, records, dictation tapes necessary to complete their working during the hours they are working. Access to PHI shall only be available when the staff is on duty and working.
