This is a Test Manager position on an Agile team whose overall accountability is for highly complex project or program level Quality Assurance (QA) planning, execution and communication of concurrent test projects that require a coordinated release or multiple projects aligned to a domain. Ensures resources are deployed effectively across multiple projects. Identifies and manages functional, performance and automation testing as well as other key skill sets when planning for resource demand. Reviews test scope and demand with project managers and delivery leaders prior to engaging resources. During QA planning and test execution, collaborates with all participants including vendor teams to establish QA processes and status reporting.


  • Collaborate with Agile team to develop and release high quality software

  • Contribute actively in standups, sprint planning, and demos

  • Work with the team and business partners to create the test strategy and test cases

  • Own and manage testing for our various releases

  • Learn the Institutional business and applications so you can ensure a quality product is released

  • Capture and share knowledge

  • Focus on continuous improvement and learning

  • Collaborate with QA Center of Excellence

  • Supports the team's adherence to MassMutual's QA and testing related standards and methodology framework

  • Measures and predicts QA risks for the organization and recommends solutions.

  • At least 5+ years of experience in a Quality Assurance role

  • Has knowledge of functional, regression, and automated testing

  • Ability to drive the overall planning and execution of complex testing activities

  • Knows how to monitor scope and requirement changes and assess the impact on the Quality Assurance (QA) deliverables

  • Provides accurate estimates and reuse where appropriate, and reports on progress

  • Leads the defect management process

  • Engages functional, performance and automation resources to identify opportunities

  • Drives integration, system, and regression testing plans and facilitates reporting and signoff

  • Drives business acceptance testing to enable signoff from key stakeholders and project sponsors.

  • Provides guidance to QA vendor partners or application vendor partners and other employees

  • Accountable for identifying and addressing risk management concerns

  • Experience working in the financial services business

  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future


  • Knowledge of financial products, services and solutions

  • Experience scripting or coding simple applications – will help learning automation tools
