When you’re creating technology for a changing world, you need to know where you stand in terms of your inventory. The Dell EMC CI Quality & RCM team is responsible for providing end-to end validation and quality support for new product introductions as well as sustaining releases of CI’s VxBlock architectures. This team works in a fast-paced environment driven by aggressive release schedules. The person in this position will off-load the current engineering staff from the procurement and asset tracking activities and assist with supporting several relevant and operational efficiency initiatives .

  • Manage equipment supply chain forecast and procurement activities/status

  • Develop efficiencies cross-functionally from a budget and equipment perspective

  • Equipment sharing

  • Timesharing administration

  • Automation

  • Maintain a comprehensive equipment dashboard

  • Act as liaison between finance and engineering for budget definition, allocation, and consumption

  • Fixed Asset register audit/reconcile

  • Coordinate dispensation activities with lab services team

  • Planning reviews and reporting

  • Excess & Obsolete analysis

  • Manage 3rd-party and internal loaners

  • Coordinate adhoc equipment demands

  • Manage the relationship with the lab services organization

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Familiarity with fundamental data center terminology and infrastructure management tools.

  • Ability to deliver high quality results in a very dynamic environment.

  • Prior exposure to test and validation tools/process.

  • Exposure to any of the following is a plus:

  • Cisco Catalyst and/or Nexus Networking Products

  • Virtualization Products

  • Cisco UCS Platforms

  • Dell EMC storage solutions

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, time management, and multi-tasking tools.

  • Degree in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering desired or equivalent work experience.

  • Global mind set and ability to develop strong cross-functional relationships.
