SALARY: $41,000 to $59,000, commensurate with education and experience. CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS: April 30th, 2024 DUTIES Assess the education, military service, skills, needs, and career interests of veterans. Partner with businesses, agencies, and organizations to identify job opportunities and address barriers to employment for veterans and students. Market available services to businesses and community organizations. Conduct outreach and training sessions to educate the public, businesses, and community organizations about available services. Maintain regular communication with employers regarding participants’ progress. Refer participants to relevant adult education programs. Identify and assist in overcoming employment barriers such as missing or expired documentation. Conduct daily job searches tailored to participants’ interests and skills. Facilitate workshops addressing employment barriers and provide support in resume writing and job applications. Help participants secure and retain competitive employment, providing skills training as needed. Maintain detailed case notes on participants’ progress and prepare necessary reports. Administer administrative tasks such as tracking job referrals and placements. Establish close relationships with treatment and recovery programs, as well as other relevant agencies. Coordinate referrals to support services from other agencies. Provide employment reports to relevant state departments. Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Associates degree in education, social work, human services, or related field; bachelor’s degree preferred. Relevant work experience may substitute for degree. Proficiency in using various technology devices and information management software. Extensive experience in case management, including proficiency in utilizing a database system mandated for tracking participant progress and program outcomes, ensuring accurate and comprehensive documentation of services provided and facilitating effective communication within the organization |
