Job Summary:

The primary purpose of the President of Electronic Security for Per Mar Security Services is oversee the direct growth and management of the Electronic Security Division; both financially and personnel.

*Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Communicate the status of the Electronic Security Division with the COO on a regular basis.

  • Provide final approval on all proposals and pricing submitted to potential clients within the division.

  • Assist Managers with all sales leads, targets, meetings, pricing and proposals when necessary.

  • Effectively handle client issues and concerns.

  • Assist in the coordination of inter-divisional operations and sales activities.

  • Oversee marketing and inside sales plans across the company.

  • Directly oversee the division’s budgeting process including growth goal numbers.

  • Provide motivation and guidance to the overall management team and each member individually as needed to assure highest levels of performance and standards of professionalism.

  • Ensure employees adhere to all company policies and procedures through training, counseling and by personal example.

  • Take part in all Executive Leadership Team meetings and functions.

  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by interacting with the Per Mar Security Services internal/external customers (including, but not limited to: current customers, prospective customers, clients, vendors, co-workers, supervisors and management) in a mutually respectful manner regardless of race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation and all other protected classes.

  • Address performance and behavior issues in a timely manner. Work with Human Resources when necessary regarding employee relations issues and follow through with appropriate action. Approach each issue fair and consistently in order to reduce Per Mar’s legal risk.

Position Requirements

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year College or technical school highly preferred; or minimum 10-15 years Electronic security industry experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

  • Minimum 10 years supervisory experience required.

  • Experience in management of multi-market locations required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to be on-call/available 24 hours per day for contact in case of emergency

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

  • Strong customer service focus/skills a must.

  • Must be detail oriented and able to handle multiple tasks.

  • Capable of handling challenging and stressful situations without decreasing productivity.

  • Ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization and with external customers.

  • Possess sufficient clerical skills to perform essential job functions as listed above.

  • Available to travel, stipulating to a minimum of 50% of work time involving travel to other Branch locations; or client or prospect locations on a weekly basis.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Must be able to obtain specified license to perform work in the security industry according to the rules and regulations prescribed by the state in which the branch operates.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Equipment/Software:

Ability to operate a variety of office equipment to include but not limited to personal computers, printers, scanners and calculators. Strong computer skills with demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are required. Internet skills required.

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate, resulting primarily from phones ringing, printers and traffic of individuals within the office environment.
