The Data Quality Analyst will design, implement and own the production data research, data issue management and remediation processes for the IHR implementation. Working with the IHR Support function the senior data analyst will implement processes to assess data related issues and engage with data analysts, IHR experts, IT ETL experts and cross functional data stewards to drive root cause analysis and implement short and long term solutions to address concerns. In addition to managing the day to day process with operational reports and tools this individual will create management communication materials per required cadence.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Designs and implement cross team data research, prioritization and communication processes

  • Manages the data research function for post implementation support data issues resulting from end user and IT feedback

  • Engages with IT teams in review and understanding of error queue management, related business impact of data issues and prioritization of data research and resolution activities

  • Engages with program support team and business data stewards to resolve data related issues and determine short and long term approaches to remediation

  • Develops mechanisms to track progress of longer term remediation across internal and external programs and departments

  • Drives prioritization and execution of all data research work with a deep understanding of content an effectively manage the data analysts, IT and business operations personnel engaged

  • Implements and improves data research tools and processes

  • Leads communication and post production data research and status reporting

  • Presents written and verbal data and system analysis findings, to business and IT stakeholders

  • Collaborates with data analytics teams to research data issues and refine data research processes and determine remediation approaches

  • Engage in pre-deployment UAT and manage post deployment data research and issues resolution processes

  • Effectively communicate with many levels of the organization, business stakeholders/SME, project managers, developers, system architects, quality assurance, operations, etc.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years systems and data analytics roles in project and post implementation support environments

  • Broad understanding of healthcare systems and data and their inter-dependencies and relationships

  • Experience and detailed understanding of healthcare data in two or more areas: Membership, Customer-Product, Provider, Claims, Clinical

  • Intermediate or greater skills with Microsoft Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Health plan and health care delivery (e.g. medical group, hospital, home health care) experience

  • IT and business operations

  • Some experience with SQL

  • Data Profiling experience

  • User Acceptance Testing and/or QA testing experience

  • Knowledge of UHG data across lines of business (E&I, M&R and C&S)

  • Knowledge of relational databases, database structures

  • College Degree in technical discipline (eg math, science, analysis, computer science, data analytics, informatics etc.)

  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate complex technical issues to non-technical audience and be understood

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
