Corporate Accounting Manager

Rapidly growing Investment Management Company has partnered with Robert Half Finance Accounting to source for a newly created Corporate Accounting Manager position. This will be a highly visible position that will work closely with the Controller and CFO.

As Corporate Accounting Manager you will be responsible for the Investment Management?s Company accounting / back office daily functions which will include compiling month-end, quarter and year-end close and financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, managing accounts payable, payroll and expenses, treasury, cash forecasting, financial reporting, financial reports and various ad-hoc requests as needed.

Interested candidates must have a bachelor?s degree in accounting with 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with direct oversight of the day to day accounting functions. CPA is highly preferred and experience within the investment management, private equity, or financial services industries is highly recommended. This person must be hands on, can work both independently or in a team, have current management experience and requires minimum direction and supervision.

  • Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Expense reports experience preferred

  • Month end closings experience

  • Demonstrated knowledge of forecasting

  • Knowledge of financial analysis

  • Cash forecasting experience

  • Adeptness in budget forecasting

  • Accounts payable experience

  • 5+ years of recent relevant financial experience

  • Customer service oriented communication skills that allow for pleasant and beneficial interactions with all customers

  • Solid technical skills

  • Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
