Our benefit offerings are reflective of this unique blend of Life, Work and Family .nPURPOSE STATEMENTnThe Sr. QA Technician at Rich's manufacturing facilities is an experienced, hands-on leader of Quality, and an initiator with the ability to identify possible food safety risks in the pizza crust and topped pizza production's chain and determine corrective and preventive measures to assure the delivery of safe products of the highest quality to our valuable customers. This position will work on ensuring Food Safety and Quality on the production lines and will provide coaching to all associates on the line and QA Technicians as needed.nKEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMESnEnsures on a daily basis that all QA policies and procedures are followed at the Rich's manufacturing facility as part of Rich's Quality/Food Safety ProgramnLeads the maintenance of HACCP, GMP's, SSOP's, SOP's, pre-requisite programs, and record forms to meet the highest Food Safety/Quality Assurance standardsnResponsible for monitoring the micro finished product program and assuring the implementation of the Hold/Release policynCoordinates with QA Manager the daily release of finished products to the market, and when necessary, the destruction of finished productsnAct as a liaison with outside lab to ensure timeliness of samples' schedules and resultsnPerforms/coordinates the sampling for the compliance of the Monthly Environmental program and water test according to company proceduresnConducts daily a pre-operational plant inspection and ATP swabbing to authorize or not the start up of processing operationsnExecutes daily and weekly analyses of data (i.e. micro, weights, scrap, etc.)nEscorts Pest Control Technician, State/FDA inspector, and 3rd Party Food Safety consultants in the plant during the inspections and performs necessary follow up with Plant Management.nMonitors daily and thru the day that employees follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and informs plant management when corrective actions are requirednMonitors daily and thru the day the compliance of all raw materials, packaging materials, products in process, and finished products according to Rich's specificationsnResponsible for training new and existing employees in Rich's GMPs, HACCP, Pre-requisites programs, QA procedures, and in filling correctly all Rich's QA forms used for process controlnAssures the compliance of Finished Products' SOP's within Rich's QC Specs. Informs Plant Manager/QA Manager when of out of rangenInvestigates along with QA Manager Customer complaints and identifies possible corrective and preventive measuresnPerforms daily sensory evaluations along with QA Manager/Production Personnel according to company proceduresnWorks with Plant Operations and QA Manager on continuous improvement projects to increase yields, efficiencies, product quality, and minimize product wastenOther duties as assignednKNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCEnBachelor's Degree in Food Science, chemistry or biology related field required. Related work experience preferred but not required.nChemistry work related: Water activity., Free fatty acid testing; Viscosity, ; PH effect on Food; Brix, Concentration; Moisture analyses; allergen tests, Flour testing attributes,nMicrobiology work related: Knowledge of pathogens and its growth characteristics as it relates to food manufacturing and the facility. Bacterial growth requirement; Bacterial identification; Growth morphology; Temperature growth requirement; Bacterial food source.nOne year experience in commercial food processing preferred.nPC skills to include strong knowledge of Windows operating system, and applications to include Microsoft Word and Excel.nKnowledge of statistics and use of software packages.nKnowledge of Database systems preferred.nAbility to constructively deal with change and pressure.
