Maxus Excavating is currently seeking an experienced Utility Pipe Layer to join our team. As a Utility Pipe Layer, you will be responsible for installing and repairing underground utility lines and pipes, including water, sewer, and gas lines, using a variety of hand and power tools. Responsibilities: Install and repair underground utility lines and pipes, including water, sewer, and gas lines. Connect pipes using various fittings, couplings, and clamps. Grade trenches and culverts using hand and power tools. Ensure that pipes are laid to the proper grade and alignment. Backfill trenches and compact soil to prevent settling. Monitor work areas for safety hazards and maintain a safe work environment. Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a utility pipe layer. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications. Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in the installation, repair, and maintenance of underground utility lines and pipes. Experience operating heavy equipment such as backhoes and excavators is preferred. Ability to work well in a team environment. Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
