Baylor Scott & White Health Rehab Aid/PSS FT COLLEGE STATION in College Station, Texas
The Rehab Aid/Patient Support Specialist (PSS) provides a range of entry-level intake and associated administrative services pertaining to patients receiving outpatient services to include obtaining demographic, insurance, and medical information; collecting co-pays and deposits; scheduling follow-up appointments; and ordering diagnostic tests as directed. The Rehab Aid assists with daily assigned duties and responsibilities in the Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Department under the direction of licensed staff. The Rehab Aid facilitates patient and information flow by directing patients to correct locations, arranging patient transport, answering incoming telephone calls, and providing clerical support. The Rehab Aid prepares required forms orders and maintains inventory of supplies as required.
The ideal candidate for the Rehab Aid/PSS role will have knowledge of medical insurance claims procedures and documentation and skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications.
