SUMMARY

Individual must be able to support servers in all aspects of service by; stocking all service areas and maintaining adequate supplies during meal period, cleaning and presetting all tables and buffets; assisting with service of beverages, transportation of food to dining room; cleaning of all public areas.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

The person is required to ensure food is delivered to all customers in a timely manner as per company standards.

Ensure the food delivered is properly plated and garnished

Ensures each order is delivered to the correct table and customer

Monitors the orders to ensure timely delivery

Takes orders to each table using proper trays

Stock all service stations and assists food servers during or at the opening of the restaurant

Clear dirty table settings and prepare table for resetting

Reset all service ware as prescribed

Maintain stock and cleanliness of service stations

Transport all dirty tableware to dishwashing area for proper cleaning

Between seatings, promptly clean work area to ensure proper sanitation standards

Check floor and clean as required. Reset and arrange tabletop

Respond appropriately to guest requests, communicating requests to server as needed

Communicate with server/hostess to assure efficient seating, table utilization and customer service

Assist server as needed with food delivery, especially with large parties and during peak periods

Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Must be 21 years old; high school diploma or equivalent

Previous food service experience, a plus

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized.
