Cleveland Clinic invites highly qualified Board Eligible/ Certified Interventional Radiology candidates to join our team as we continue to develop our clinical practice and facilities. Cleveland Clinic, an internationally renowned mid-western subspecialty medical center, is comprised of a 1400+ bed main hospital, 11 regional hospitals, and 18 ambulatory care centers located within Northeast Ohio.
We are currently recruiting for opportunities that are 100% Interventional Radiology AND additional opportunities that are 50% Interventional Radiology and 50% General Radiology.
Formal fellowship training in Interventional Radiology is required and a Certificate of Added Qualification in Interventional Radiology by the American Board of Radiology is strongly preferred. Staff candidates should have experience in peripheral vascular intervention, TIPS, hepatobiliary, genitourinary, gastroenterology, embolotherapy, venous interventions, elective venous procedures, tumor therapies, pain management, and dialysis access procedures.
The Interventional Radiology team has a long history of exceptional care for patients with Vascular, Hepatobiliary, Gastrointestinal, Renal and Oncologic diseases. Diagnostic imaging and interventional equipment are state-of-the-art, including 6 angiography labs at the main campus, additional angiography labs at the associated community hospitals and an active MRA/ CTA program. There is an interventional radiology clinic, as well as dedicated multidisciplinary clinics for liver tumors, vascular malformations and IVC filters. Our annual interventional procedural volume exceeds 12,000 at the main campus and over 3000 at the community hospitals.
A wide spectrum of peripheral vascular, organ specific and transplant related vascular interventions are routinely performed. Gastrointestinal and genitourinary interventional procedures are common and include diagnostic cholangiography, transhepatic biliary drainage, TIPS creation, percutaneous gastrostomy and nephrostomy placement, ureteral stenting and percutaneous stone extraction. There is an active transcatheter therapeutic program including uterine fibroid embolization, hepatic chemoembolization, hepatic radioembolization, arteriovenous malformation
embolization/ sclerosis, PAD and pulmonary artery angioplasty. Our Interventional Radiologists perform ablative procedures of renal, hepatic and soft-tissue tumors.
Our Interventional Radiologists provide image-guided tunneled vascular access services and is responsible for the maintenance of hemodialysis access for the institution.
Clinical and basic science research opportunities exist and facilities include a full angio-animal laboratory. Our Interventional Radiology team has access to a fully staffed and professionally managed Radiology research group within the Imaging Institute which coordinates and supports clinical research and trials. We are a center of excellence for liver tumor research.
There are 3 ACGME approved fellowship positions and 3 annual positions for our approved independent IR residency program slated to begin in 2020; resident and fellow education is emphasized.
